Field Work in Social Work
Fieldwork in social work is a crucial, hands-on part of education where students apply classroom theory in real-world settings, developing practical skills, professional identity, and ethical understanding while working with diverse communities, bridging the gap between academic learning and actual practice under our guidance. This involves experiential learning of our programs, organization structure, developing competencies in intervention, self-reflection, and understanding complex social issues like inequality and injustice.
Key Aspects & Objectives
This role involves hands-on exposure to research, case work, case study, group activity, group work, community program, community organization, report writing, and proposal development for our projects and programs
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct desk research and secondary research on our focus areas and themes
2. Support field studies, data collection, and stakeholder interactions
3. Assist in report writing, documentation, and analysis
4. Contribute to proposal writing, concept notes, and project documentation
5. Coordinate with internal teams during project execution
