For Partners in Prevention

The page is dedicated for grassroot organizations who are tirelessly working to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) by addressing its root causes—particularly harmful norms around masculinity and gender inequality—through primary prevention efforts that engaged boys and men.

As one of the first multistakeholder-based interventions in Tamilnadu focused on prevention, we have played a pioneering role in advancing evidence-based policy advocacy, capacity development, and communications for social change. The program worked across communities to facilitate regional learning and collaboration, while also anchoring its approach in local realities and civil society leadership.

Throughout its implementation, we helped catalyze conversations around prevention by generating and sharing new insights, tools, and methodologies. It contributed to shaping more inclusive approaches to engaging communities, practitioners and policymakers in long-term, transformative work.

By bridging research, practice and policy, and by fostering collaboration across communities, governments, and civil society, its tools, networks and data remain in use today, informing regional strategies and national efforts to stop violence before it starts.

Below you will find a selection of key resources produced by the organizations, organized at regional and country-level focus. These include research publications, training tools, evaluation reports and other outputs developed in partnership with national actors across Asia and the Pacific.
