Child Sexual Abuse is a rampant issue across India affecting all types of children, but it is widely unspoken of, misunderstood and inadequately addressed. The WHO reports that India has the world's largest number of sexually abused children.
AWARE's significant mission #SaveTheSmiles launched on Nov 19th, 2016 addresses this issue by giving children age-appropriate information and skills to help protect themselves from sexual abuse.
Parents, teachers and other concerned adults are trained, sensitized and supported with awareness, knowledge and intervention skills to make sure that the abuse stops.

for an authentic and holistic knowledge base on the issue of violence against children to create further awareness and sensitization within the larger society and to advocate for local, state and national level changes pertaining to the issue
Public and Policy advocacy
We create policy and provide consultations for organizations and institutions towards safeguarding children. We help and support stakeholder for engaging public at large in order to create more visibility and awareness about the issue of child abuse
